Events
Our group regularly takes part in events such as the Battle of Tewkesbury and we are best known in Derby for our Saint Georges Day play, as well as being the only re-enactors to be asked to take part in the Mass said for the Fallen (Eve of Battle) at Shrewsbury Battle Church. We also perform display shows and tournaments at Tutbury castle occasionally through the year, as it was owned by John of Gaunt and ancestral home to the Duchy of Lancaster, thought to be one of Henry the 4th's childhood homes.

What we do....
The Society actively seeks to promote not only the factual history of the medieval period, but also daily life, costume, weapons and traditions of the time. We also take along our ( now famous) 'Have-A-Go' archery range to a lot of our shows, bringing a taste of the Middle Ages most popular past-time to the 21st Century, where we help members of the public use the deadly Longbow ( at targets of course!!)
One of our most popular events is the 'Children's Battle', where younger members of the public are encouraged to form up in two lines with our assorted knights and ladies of the Court and fight for the glory of the crown ( armed with safe lengths of foam), as well as take part in our 'Mini-Jousts' to win favours from the Court ( chocolate coins)
