Part of the society's aims are to promote an interest in Britain's history, and to this end we have given talks to schools and scout groups, as well as talking to members of the public at our shows. We have also mounted exhibitions in our home city about the Earldom of Derby, past and present, and provided the entertainment at a series of medieval banquets over the Christmas period. The society has performed at a variety of venues, including an open day at the Sue Ryder Hospice t Staunton Harold, village fete at Parwich, Ilkeston and Chellaston carnivals, Noel Baker school fete, the Lord Mayors parade in Nottingham, the Battle of Tewkesbury, the Mass said for the Fallen at Shrewsbury Battle Church and the Derby County show.
